Norman Rockwell Plate Information
Norman Rockwell is one of the most popular artists of the 20th Century, creating more than 3,000 works of art during his lifetime. He was born in New York City in 1894. He studied at Chase School of Fine and Applied Arts, the National Academy of Design and the Art Student’s League all of New York.
His artistic skill was recognized by the publishers of the Saturday Evening Post in 1916 when Norman Rockwell created his first magazine cover for the Post, followed by over 300 more issues over the next 47 years. He also did illustrations for Life magazine, Ladies Home Journal, Look magazine and Boy’s Life. His favourite subjects are scenes from everyday life, often humorous in content and painted in minute detail. Norman Rockwell was married and the father of 3 sons.

Norman Rockwell died in 1978 at the age of 84 in Stockbridge, MA.
