Fabulous Hand and Wheel Cut pitcher or tankard. Weighs 5 1/2 lbs. (2.5 kg).11 inches tall.
Star Flowers, Leaves and even a Butterfly cut into the 1/2" thick glass.
Applied free-blown handle, Sawtooth Rim, Star Rayed Base.

Note - sold AS IS. A flat sliver of glass, now polished smooth, left the upper area of the pitcher, possibly during cutting;
with the over-all cut design, you have to know it was there to notice it.
Also, typical of early heavy tankards, a 1 inch stress fracture shows just above the handle.
This item is offered only because Brilliant Cut American Glass is becoming more and more scarce. This pitcher would still make a beautiful flower vase or just an elegant addition to your collection. Maker unknown.
