Miniature Oil Lamps have been marketed and used for over 100 years. Also known as "fairy lamps", this type uses lamp oil instead of burning a candle. This has the original brass burner, china base and milkglass globe. Also retains the original pencil wick ready to use. Stands 5 inches high on a flat base with applied violet flower decal decorations. Good condition, has been used and needs some cleaning and the brass burner has a small split otherwise, no cracks, chips or damage. From Japan early 1950's.
